The noises are appreciated. They're helpful teaching tools, and she makes mental notes of what seems to make him make noise and what doesn't.

And then he kisses her neck. She doesn't expect it to feel as good as it does--her skin seems suddenly hyper sensitive, and the light touches of his teeth and tongue are more sensual than a proper bite. It surprises a little noise out of her, something soft and from deep in her throat as she scrapes her nails down his chest. Still, she remains firmly in her head, critically examining her own sensations and his reactions.

He makes a noise that's half-growl when she scratches him, and nips her skin a little harder, sucking a mark into that pale, unblemished skin.

"Stop thinking so much, Firefly," he murmurs into her neck, moving up to a pulse point in front of her ear. His hand is slowly creeping down her shoulder, easing one sleeve off her shoulder and pushing the neck of her shirt down.

Being undressed isn't a strange idea for her--honestly, it had taken a while for Anders to impress upon her the importance of clothes that aren't part of armor--but being undressed by someone else is a little odd. It's close. He's very close, and he's touching her more than even Anders has. It's an odd experience.

When Varric talks to her, she makes a small curious noise in the back of her throat. "How am I meant to experience it if I do not think about it?"

He's not wearing a shirt, so she can't pull him out of it. So instead, she just keeps scraping her nails on his skin, because he seems to like that. Every motion and sensation is examined carefully, still all too conscious of Isabela's accusations earlier.

"Sex isn't about thinking," Varric says against her skin, letting some humor creep into his tone. "Trust me, if it was, there'd be a lot less of it- and a lot less bullshit in the world."

He trusts that she's seen enough of humanity to know he's right. People rarely seem to put real thought into their sexual decisions.

"It's about feeling."

The sleeve of her dress was off her shoulder, the laces in the front undone. He gently cupped her breast in one hand, brushing his calloused thumb over her nipple while his teeth nipped at her ear.

Justice doesn't really get it. How can she do this without thinking about it? She feels a little like she's fumbling with something she understands but doesn't quite get--which honestly is just her life in the mortal realm.

And then he cups her breast and fondles her nipple, all while scraping his teeth on her ear. A shiver shudders through her spine, utterly involuntary, and another little noise escapes her, soft and breathy as her nerves spark and an unfamiliar feeling warms in her gut. She settles against the cushions, curiously leaning forward and beginning to pepper kisses on Varric's neck.

Oh, he likes that noise. He likes it very much. So much, in fact, that he touches her with purpose, fingers stroking and caressing both breasts. He can't reach her with his mouth anymore, not while she's kissing his neck, but he can't bring himself to be upset about that. She's learning, and judging by the way her nipples pebble under his touch, she's feeling, too.

She's still in her head, unfamiliar with paying so much attention to the sensations of her body outside of battle. It's a weird experience for someone who's so used to being utterly divorced from physical form, and the foreignness of the feelings are keeping her from getting completely into the moment.

But that doesn't stop her from exploring this new thing. Varric seems to like her breasts, which is good because she likes him touching them. The stubble on his neck is rough against her lips, but she starts scraping her teeth against his skin, imitating what he had done before with his mouth.

He makes a quiet, pleased sound and keeps touching her with one hand, trying to draw out more of those delicious noises. His other hand starts to wander, gliding over her waist, her hips, the curve of her ass. As much as he would like to keep removing clothing immediately, his upstairs brain still thinks it’s best to go slow.

That doesn’t stop him from copping a feel, though. Her ass really is fantastic.

It's odd to be touched on the ass, and she makes a small surprised noise in the back of her throat. Any man who considered trying to grope her before was usually quickly dissuaded by the glowing and the excessive amounts of armor and pointy bits.

He likes her ass and her breasts. She should make a note of that. She tries to imitate him, to draw her hand down to his ass as well, assuming that what he's doing to her, he'd probably like to have done to him.

He rolls her onto her back and kisses a line down her neck, mouthing at her collarbone, kissing down her chest. His mouth closes over a nipple while his fingers roll and gently pinch at the other. That sound- that breathy little gasp- Varric wants to hear it again. Badly.
